Team Mildenhall and the 48th Fighter Wing hosted distinguished visitors from the local community for the 2019 Yuletide reception at the Galaxy Club, Dec. 6, 2019.

The Yuletide reception served to highlight the mutually beneficial relationship between the military and local communities.

Leaders from the 100th Air Refueling Wing, 352nd Special Operations Wing and 48th FW greeted their guests with holiday cheer.

Col. Troy Pananon, 100th ARW commander, gave opening remarks and thanked all those involved in the event.

“We have a very special partnership with the local community and think our bond will only continue to grow with time,” Pananon said. “I’d like to say thank you for a wonderful year and I look forward to another great year in 2020.”

After opening remarks guests were invited to participate in a scavenger hunt to help them get to know each other and the American service members better.

“We have faced many challenges and we will continue to meet those challenges, united, against whatever may come,” said Col. William Marshall, 48th FW commander. “What we do here is extremely important, but it’s only successful because of the Airmen inside the wire and the local community outside, that rises to meet those challenges with us and support us on a day to day basis.”
