MXG wins flag football championship

The 100th Maintenance Group flag football team defeated the 100th Communications Squadron/Force Support Squadron team by a final score of 14-12 during the RAF Mildenhall flag football championship game Dec. 12, 2012.

Maintenance took a 7-0 lead on the first drive of the game and stayed ahead throughout.
The score was 7-6 Maintenance at the half.

Following a Maintenance touchdown on a punt return, Communications/Force Support was down 14-6 in the fourth quarter. Communications/Force Support drove downfield for a touchdown, but was unable to convert a 2-point conversion for the tie in the final two minutes of the game.

Following the game, Col. Kyle Voigt, 100th Air Refueling Wing vice commander, thanked all of the players and presented the championship trophy to the Maintenance team.
