Team Mildenhall's February Articles 15 punishment report

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Article 15 of the UCMJ provides commanders with a prompt and essential means of maintaining good order and discipline and promoting positive behavior changes without the stigma of a court-martial conviction. Article 15 authorizes nonjudicial punishment, which is a disciplinary measure more serious than administrative corrective measures, but less serious than trial by court-martial.

During the month of February, four Mildenhall Airmen received Article 15s.

An airman first class from the 100th Mission Support Group received an Article 15 for failure to go (arriving late to PT), disobeying a lawful order for failing to have her dorm room in inspection order, and failure to obey a lawful order by having an incense burner in her dorm room. She was reduced to Airman and reprimanded.

A senior airman from the 100th Maintenance Group received an Article 15 for failure to go to a scheduled Health and Wellness Center appointment. He was ordered to forfeit $250 pay per month for two months.

A staff sergeant from the 352nd Special Operations Group received an Article 15 for shoplifting from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and then lying about the incident. She was reduced in rank to Senior Airman, ordered to forfeit $500 pay per month for two months, and reprimanded.

A senior airman from the 727th Air Mobility Squadron received an Article 15 for adultery. She was reduced to Airman First Class, which was suspended, and ordered to forfeit $100 pay per month for two months.
