Team Mildenhall members will be at the Imperial War Museum Duxford Saturday helping celebrate and mark the 10th anniversary of the American Air Museum in Britain.

War and Ronnie, both 100th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dogs, along with their handlers and two other 100th SFS members, will be providing demonstrations at the American Air Day. Firefighters from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department will have a fire truck as a static display, and the 352nd Special Operations Group will be performing a flying display with an MH-53M Pave Low IV helicopter, MC-130 Combat Shadow and MC-130 Combat Talon II.

Aircrews from the 351st Air Refueling Squadron will also be participating in the American Air Day, with a static KC-135 Stratotanker on display. The pilots and their crew will be on hand to meet and talk with the general public.

Alongside RAF Mildenhall's modern airpower, the B-17 Flying Fortress 'Sally B', and the P-51 Mustang, both World War II aircraft, will also be on display.

"American Air Day at the Imperial War Museum Duxford is a perfect partnership between the local community and the two U.S. Air Force East Anglian flying bases," said Maj. Russ Davis, executive officer to the 3rd Air Force vice commander. "By supporting the airshow at Duxford, the 100th Air Refueling Wing, 352nd SOG and 48th Fighter Wing have been able to leverage the IWM's experience and displays with our operational aircraft and people.

"This event is a unique opportunity to get out amongst the British people and showcase the missions and people at both RAFs Mildenhall and Lakenheath. Between the modern and heritage flybys, U.S. Air Forces in Europe Rock Band, security forces dog demonstrations and the 100s of aircraft on display, there is sure to be something for everyone in the family at the first ever, 2007 American Air Day at Duxford," he said.

The event will pay tribute to 60 years of service and operations in Europe for the U.S. Air Force, and its ongoing relationship with the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Advance tickets can be purchased at 100th Services Information, Tickets and Tours for £10 per person; children 15 and under are free.

On the day, tickets can be purchased at Duxford at a cost of £19.95 for adults, £13.50 for youths 16 and 17. Children 15 and under are free.
