RAF MILDENHALL, England – Racing legend Mario Andretti, winner of 12 Formula 1 Grand Prixs, second place in all-time wins and all-time pole position winner in IndyCar racing, sits patiently in the two-seater IndyCar as final adjustments and checks are made to the car before he drives it down the flightline here Jan. 21, 2011. Base members from both RAFs Mildenhall and Lakenheath took turns in the passenger seat of the race car, and reached speeds of up to 150 mph as Andretti, along with British driver Martin Plowman, an Indy Lights racing driver, gave them the thrill of a lifetime.
