An F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, sits on the runway after engaging a barrier cable during a certification test of the Mobile Aircraft Arresting System at RAF Mildenhall, England, Aug. 5, 2020. Airmen from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Power Production shop removed the cable, which is the most commonly used arresting system in the U.S. Air Force. This model of the MAAS has been in service since 1971 and was used during the Vietnam War. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere)
