RAF Mildenhall senior leaders pay tribute to Victoria Cross winner Rawdon H. Middleton

Royal Air Force 92nd Squadron Leader Alastair Balmer, RAF commander, paid a small tribute at the grave of Pilot Officer Rawdon H. Middleton at Mildenhall, England, Nov. 29, 2021. Middleton was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in combat that may be presented to members of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Armed Forces and was the first to any serving member of the Royal Australian Air Force in World War II.
