3rd AF commander visits UK bases
Lt. Gen. Craig A. Franklin, 3rd Air Force commander, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, speaks to Staff Sgt. David Irsern, 100th Maintenance Squadron aircraft metals technology craftsman, Nov. 15 2012, in building 814 on RAF Mildenhall, England. While here, Franklin met with base leadership and Airmen at a breakfast, briefings and lunch. The visit included tours of the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Processing, 100th Maintenance Group Sheet Metal, 100th Operations Group and a static display of a KC-135 Stratotanker. While in England, the general also visited RAF Fairford, RAF Croughton, RAF Welford, RAF Lakenheath and the Cambridge American Cemetery at Madingley.
