'Make it Count' hopes to grab attention, ideas
RAF MILDENHALL, England --
Gen. Larry Spencer, Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, has announced a one-month campaign in May to focus Air Force efforts, address today's complex security and fiscal challenges and capture and implement Airmen's innovative ideas for the Air Force and for the nation.
"The general wants to hear from you," said Lt. Gen. Noel T. Jones, U.S. Air Forces in Europe/U.S. Air Forces Africa vice commander. "I encourage your participation in a 30-day 'Airmen Powered by Innovation' call for ideas on how we can cut costs and better fly, fight and win."
Airmen, uniform-wearers or civilians, can do this in one of several ways. First, the Air Force Portal link allows for idea submissions and an interactive discussion forum at https://www.my.af.mil. Second, the Air Force Public Site is set up for access via your mobile device or home computers at http://www.af.mil.
A third way Airmen can submit ideas is through the USAFE "Make It Count" site. This site complements the Air Force websites and is available for Airmen in USAFE-AFAFRICA to make suggestions for their units, for USAFE or the U.S. Air Force. If desired, Airmen can also make an input on this site and ask us to transfer it to the VCSAF campaign. This idea program is now active.
The information is accessible via links on the USAFE homepage, http://www.usafe.af.mil. Those wishing to submit an idea will need a CAC-enabled computer to access the "Make It Count" site. The site is for unclassified suggestions only. On the site you will be provided instructions on how to submit classified suggestions via secure email.
The USAFE lead office for this campaign is the Business Transformation Office. For technical questions about the page, contact Maj. Rene Alvidrez at DSN 314-478-2355. For questions regarding the status of submissions, contact Lt. Col. Steve Cristofori at DSN 314-478-7967.
