Colonel Aaron N. Wilt is the Commander of the 100th Mission Support Group, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England. He leads five squadrons and over 1,600 military, civilian, Local Nationals and Ministry of Defence personnel in providing critical combat support and services to the 100th Air Refueling Wing, partner units, eight geographically separated units and over 16,000 family members and retirees living in the local area.
Colonel Wilt entered the Air Force in May 1997 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy. He has held numerous base, major command and Air Staff positions, to include Detachment Commander at Wake Island and Commander of the 509th Civil Engineer Squadron, Whiteman AFB, MO. He has also served on the staffs of two Major Commands and Headquarters Air Force.
Colonel Wilt's contingency experiences are varied, including deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM and Joint Task Force Bravo.
Prior to assuming his current assignment, he served as the Deputy Chief of the Acquisition Division, Counter Improvised Threat Technologies Department, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Chief of the Nuclear Exercises and Training Branch, Nuclear Surety Department, Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
He is married and has four children.
