ADAPT offers various services for active-duty service members to include evaluations, education and prevention briefings and treatment for alcohol/drugs (intensive education, outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient). Additionally, ADAPT supports Air Force responsible drinking programs, commander’s calls and supportive presentations. ADAPT does not treat dependents, retirees (VA) or contractors. The Family Advocacy Program has a wide variety of services designed to promote healthy and happy military families. Our program aspires to build resilient and knowledgeable communities. We help individuals to enhance skills that will assist in preventing or resolving relationship conflicts, improving communication, expanding parenting skills, and much more! Additionally, Family Advocacy offers anger management classes, stress management classes, relationship enhancement classes, Parenting classes, onsite visits, agency collaborations and home visitation for expecting parents, and family violence reporting via an unrestricted report or a restricted report and Family Advocacy Strength-Based Therapy Services. The Health Promotion Office provides information and education in physical fitness, nutrition and tobacco cessation. Education classes include Better Body Better Life, Run Well Program which helps people improve their PT times, cooking demonstrations and tobacco cessation classes for those wanting to quit smoking. We also support monthly observations, attend health fairs, and can brief squadrons and groups on different health topics. Registered Nurses provide education and support through home visits, telephone consults, and classes. We provide services for expectant parents and families with children under 36 months of age. Retiree Activities Offices assist, military members and their families during their transition to retirement, provide assistance to former spouses, surviving spouses and dependents. Services include survivor benefit pay, myPay accounts, Social Security, Causality Affairs or updating personal information, emails, or life-changing events.
The Retiree Activities Office, located at RAF Lakenheath, Bldg. 977, Rm G119, run by volunteers whose purpose is to serve the needs of military retirees, spouses, widows and widowers in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
