Lavenham – Stepping back in time with crooked houses, cream teas

Scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam are the staple ingredients of a traditional English cream tea, which abound in Lavenham, Suffolk. The town, famous for its half-timbered, crooked houses, dates back to medieval times and made its fortunes as a wool town. Lavenham is a quaint, typically English town and is full of antique shops, small boutiques, shops selling fresh, local produce, and cafes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere/Released)
