100th OG overpowers 95th RS 7-2

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- A double strike from Mike Murphy and Benjamin Reynolds ensured the 100th Operations Group cruised to a 7-2 victory over the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron in intramural soccer at the Northside gym May 10.

The 100th OG took the lead after three minutes, a neat finish from William MacArthur. Within a minute the 95th RS equalized through Eddie Gray. Goals from (MVP) Mike Murphy, Samuel Ensminger and Tim Bradford right at halftime gave the Ops Group a comfortable lead.

Halftime:
95th RS - 1
100th OG - 4

Five minutes into the second half, the 100th OG increased their lead again when a long-range effort from Benjamin Reynolds flew into the top corner of the goal. A nice turn and shot from Mike Murphy made it 6-1. Eddie Gray again pulled a goal back for 95th RS late on, but a good finish from Benjamin Reynolds completed the rout for the 100th OG.

Sam Ensminger coach for the Ops Group team praised the all round performance of the team. He went on to say, "What an important role Mike Murphy plays, he holds the team together, and when he not on the field, it hurts us."
