U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron practiced repairing a simulated runway by removing damaged concrete and base course ready for repair during a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives exercise at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, Aug. 17, 2022. The Airmen used a variety of equipment including excavators and loaders to break up and remove concrete, before mixing and pouring new, quick-drying concrete and levelling it, all while wearing mission-oriented protective postures gear.
