We said we were going to do it, and we did. We're live on the Web with our online Marauder, having officially exited the traditional newspaper business.

If you're reading this, you've found our site, and I hope you like what you see. We're striving for ease of navigation so that you should be able to access the majority of the site's information with just one click of your mouse.

We're also retaining the features that you found in our old paper-based publication, like "Things to do in the UK," the movie schedule for Mildenhall (just use the drop-down menu at the top for Lakenheath), and my personal favorite, the "Action Line."

Admittedly, the site will initially look like the old magazine in many ways, but over time we hope to develop our site into a product that fully exploits the multimedia capabilities of the web.

The PA staff has lots of ideas, but we're also looking for your help. If you like a particular feature or format, let us know. If there's something else you'd like to see, whether additional information you think our community lacks or features you think would be interesting, please let us know. Bottom line, we welcome your feedback.

For those traditionalists out there, you'll still be able to read a hard-copy publication, because the firm that used to publish The Marauder has decided to print their own short paper each week for distribution on both bases. This paper will include articles from both RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath and will contain the classified ads formerly found in our papers.

I'm positive we don't have this exactly right (as I'm sure my wife will let me know), but I'm also positive we'll eventually have a world-class site.

The more comments and suggestions we receive, the better. And please let your family members know about our site. With your help, we can be on the leading edge of Air Force Public Affairs news dissemination.
