POW/MIA

Staff Sgt. Jayton Washington, a 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Airman, reads names of military members either captured or missing in action during a 24-hour vigil at the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action memorial at RAF Mildenhall, Sept. 20, 2007. As Sergeant Washington reads, Airman 1st Class Terry Nicholas, 352nd Maintenance Squadron, salutes Senior Airman Lori Pillsbury, of the 488th Intelligence Squadron, at the POW/MIA memorial before taking over guard duty. The vigil was part of POW/MIA week, Sept. 17-21. Each volunteer read names out of one of three books for five minutes and would then replace the member standing guard at the memorial for an additional five minutes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech.
