A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 100th Air Refueling Wing delivered more than 85,000 pounds of fuel to eight Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16s and four U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagles during an aerial refueling mission over the Netherlands, March 21.

The KC-135’s primary role is aerial refueling and cargo transportation. It has the versatility to refuel many different aircraft from various countries to enhance the global reach of the U.S. military and its NATO allies and regional partners.

The F-15s involved in the training were from the 142nd Fighter Wing, Oregon Air National Guard and 104th Fighter Wing, Massachusetts Air National Guard on a rotational deployment as part of a Theater Security Package in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

Since 2015, the U.S. Air Force schedules and deploys force packages of fighters and tankers throughout the U.S. European Command area of responsibility. TSP deployments to Europe vary in length and are supported with total force aircraft and Airmen from stateside units.
