RAF MILDENHALL, England -- U.S. Air Forces in Europe-United Kingdom held their annual Emergency Management seminar bolstering Interoperability among the tri-base wings and local emergency responders on Oct 17, 2018.
Commanders from the 48th Fighter Wing, 100th Air Refueling Wing, 352d Special Operations Wing and 501st Combat Support Wing met with leaders from the Ministry of Defence and emergency responders to discuss real-world aircraft incidents.
The event focused on lessons learned from two previous aircraft crashes that occurred off-base in the United Kingdom. Commanders and responders listened to briefs from the Ministry of Defence, Suffolk Resilience Forum, and USAF commanders who were present for the incidents.
“We train and exercise to ensure readiness at any given moment,” said Master Sgt. Brad Miller, USAFE-UK superintendent, Security and Policing. “Events like this give us all an opportunity to build trust and strengthen relationships. We leave knowing in the worst case scenario we can rely on each other for support.”
