The 100th Air Refueling Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England, refueled several F-35A Lightning IIs, assigned to the 388th Fighter Wing, in support of Exercise Point Blank, over the North Sea, June 27, 2019. Point Blank is an exercise focused on fourth and fifth-generation aircraft integration. It is important to integrate fourth and fifth-generation aircraft capabilities within the European theater since our allies and partner nations within Europe are operating the F-35. Approximately 52 aircraft from three nations, U.S., France and the UK, participated in Exercise Point Blank. This exercise was a perfect opportunity for aircraft to train alongside other types of allied aircraft in a realistic training environment.
