National Police Week 2013 events Published May 6, 2013 By Staff Reports 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Team Mildenhall will host and participate in several events as part of National Police Week May 13 to 16, 2013. Every year, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. The events are as follows: - May 13 to 17 -- "IDENTI-KID" registration at the security forces Pass and Registration Office in building 438. "IDENTI-KID" stores identifying information such as fingerprints for dependents 10 years old or younger. Information will be used to help find and identify children in the event of an emergency. May 13 at 10 a.m. -- Ruck march, open to anyone, starting at the Hardstand Fitness Center and continuing around the perimeter of RAF Mildenhall. Participants are encouraged to bring a day pack and plenty of water. - May 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. -- Three-on-three basketball tournament at the Hardstand Fitness Center on RAF Mildenhall; registration is due May 9. Jennie Benson at DSN 238-2667 or commercial 01368-542667. - May 14 at 4 p.m. -- Tug-of-war between RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath at the Hardstand Fitness Center here. - May 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. -- McGruff the Crime Dog, a K-9 display, a weapons display and a taser training demonstration will take place at The Exchange. - May 15 at 5 p.m. -- Three-on-three basketball tournament championship game at the Hardstand Fitness Center. The game will decide the overall champion between RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. - May 16 at 9 a.m. - A defender challenge, starting at Detachment 4 on RAF Feltwell, England, allows teams of four to compete in challenges such as a 30-pound rucksack run, firing simulated rounds in a shoot house, fire team push-ups, two 180-pound dummy carries and a Humvee pull.
