Holocaust Remembrance events Published April 4, 2013 By Staff Reports 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The following is a list of events dedicated to Holocaust Remembrance Week, April 8 to 12. Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom HaShoah, begins the evening of April 7and ends the evening of April 8. During the entire week, RAF Mildenhall hosts a variety of events to allow base personnel an opportunity to remember and pay homage to those who died or were affected by the Holocaust during World War II. The following is the events schedule: April 8 to 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Lunch and movie at the dining facility; 4 to 6:30 p.m. - Dinner and movie at the flightline kitchen April 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Soup and salad at the RAF Mildenhall Chapel followed by a movie April 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Lunch and candlelight ceremony with guest speaker at the Eagles Landing on RAF Lakenheath, England April 12 from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. - A Holocaust meal at the Gateway Dining Facility April 12 from 3 to 3:15 p.m. - 5K Run For more information on Holocaust Remembrance Week events, contact Master Sgt.
