Name and Rank: Francisco Moreno, TSgt

Unit: 321st Special Tactics Squadron

Duty Title: Aircrew Flight Equipment NCOIC

Time in Service: 16 years

Time at Mildenhall: 1 year

Hometown: Tucson, Ariz.

Hobbies: Cooking out, spending time with the family

Core Value Portrayed: Service before self

How does the individual portray that core value?
With an ever changing mission and last minute changes that have become routine, Moreno and his team are always putting in extra time to make sure the mission is a success, said Master Sgt. Dan Hoyt, from the 321st STS.  With zero room for errors in what they need to accomplish Moreno and his team are always balancing the mission and family responsibilities.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important because I get to serve our country, but another is the proud look on my kids' faces when I return from supporting missions such as Operation Enduring Freedom. I did not expect the kids to know these topics, but they talk about them in their class.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
Team work is a great accomplishment in my job. You train with your shop day after day and it can get repetitive, then that short notice real-world mission hits and everyone knows exactly what to do. It is a good feeling to accomplish an objective as a team.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
One professional goal of mine is to make the rank of Master Sgt. and continue striving to improve until retirement.

What is your favorite part of your job?
There is a great deal of responsibility associated with our job and I like the instant satisfaction of seeing my work in action. When the Airmen go out, I know our work in the shop is directly responsible for their mission success.
