100th LRS VOCC ensures Team Mildenhall is mission capable Published Nov. 16, 2012 By Senior Airman Ethan Morgan 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- It is essential for Airmen to make their appointments on time, but transportation can sometimes be a problem. Thankfully, Team Mildenhall Airmen can receive a ride to any official business appointments via the 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Operations Control Center's official taxi support program. "This service is provided to installation personnel carrying out official government business," said Steven Randall, 100th LRS VOCC manager. "This service helps members when travel by a personal-owned or unit-assigned vehicle is not feasible." Though the official taxi service is primarily an on-base service, exceptions are made for medical appointments at RAF Lakenheath. The official taxi service is available to all U.S. military, Department of Defense, Ministry of Defence and Local National Direct Hire employees carrying out official mission-related business on RAF Mildenhall. The program is a first-come, first-served service and members must schedule all rides through the VOCC. The official taxi service is offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week and appointments can be scheduled through the 100th LRS VOCC by calling DSN 238-2339 or commercial at 01638-542339.
