Gate closures, opening notification

02/15/2012 --  RAF MILDENHALL, England - Gate 17, informally known as the Bird in Hand Gate, will be reopening Feb. 17 at 6 a.m. In addition, several other areas are affected by maintenance. The following is a list of gate access times and closures.

- Gate 17 (Bird in Hand Gate) - Vehicle exit only/Pedestrian entry/exit; 24/7
- Gate 15 (Main Gate) - Vehicle/pedestrian entry only; 24/7
- Gate 11 (West Row Gate) - Vehicle/pedestrian; Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to midnight
- Gate 20 (Shippea Hill Gate) - Vehicle exit only/pedestrian entry/exit; Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Gate 21 (CDC Gate) - Vehicle/pedestrian; Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition vehicles entering the base via Gate 15 (Main Gate) Feb. 20 and Feb. 22 between 8 a.m. and noon will be routed via the north side and from noon to 4 p.m. traffic will be diverted around the south side of the search barn as they enter the base.
Feb. 21, Gate 20 (Shippea Hill Gate) will be closed to vehicles, but open to pedestrians between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
