Somewhere on base there's an Airman struggling to cope with memories of what they've done or seen.

Elsewhere, there's an Airman feeling isolated, one who believes that no one could possibly comprehend what they feel, and that nobody would understand them.

Over in base housing, there's a spouse at home caring for a couple of small children and desperately trying to keep it all in order, even though they know the evening may end in another argument or fight.

Whether or not an Airman has seen combat, the deployment experience and being away from what is 'normal' is a stressful experience to many Airmen and families. The 100th Force Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center recognizes that and is beginning a new deployer's group starting Feb. 2.

The deployer's group is scheduled to meet at the A&FRC, Building 460, every Thursday from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m.

Kevin Carrico, 100th FSS community readiness technician, will host the weekly meetings and said Airmen can share experiences from past deployments, listen to other's stories, discuss coping strategies and share what made a successful or challenging deployment.
