MOD Police host Road Safety Week

RAF MILDENHALL, England --  Ministry of Defence Police are scheduled to host a Road Safety Week Nov. 21 to 25, and a winter safety-driving campaign will be carried out during this time.

RAF Lakenheath will host the campaign Nov. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. at York Road, just inside Gate 1; RAF Mildenhall will participate Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon, at Hardstand 9 (the paved area near the concrete works on the north side of base).

MOD police officers, and members from the 100th Air Refueling Wing and 48th Fighter Wing safety offices, will be on hand to provide information on winter safety. They will be randomly stopping vehicles to advise motorists on how to prepare for the upcoming winter months, ensure vehicles are properly maintained and roadworthy, and will recommend equipment and emergency supplies that should be carried on journeys throughout the winter months.
