Galaxy Club to host college football tailgate party Aug. 27

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The RAF Mildenhall Galaxy Club is hosting a college football tailgate party here Aug. 27 at the Galaxy Club parking lot.

Everyone is welcome to come out and represent their school and conference.

Pack a cooler and grill, bring a lawn chair, and show team pride as large-screen TVs will feature classic college football games and upcoming season highlights.

"The fact that we live and work in a geographically remote location gives us all the more reason to come together and continue a U.S. tradition," said Josh Boisvert, Community Services Flight chief. "College football is one of those occasions where everyone can come together and have a fun-filled day, all while they root for their favorite home team or state."

The event runs from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and will include a family play area with a bouncy castle and face painting. Live entertainment with local bands Pure Passion and Red Mock Chili Peppers will compliment the day as well as DJ Harp who will be on site spinning a variety of tunes.
