Teams of 10 people will record the number of steps they take each week, and the team with the most at the end of the contest will receive a travelling trophy to be displayed for a year in their unit. The contest, dubbed "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes," is hosted by the RAF Mildenhall Sexual Assault Response Coordinator's office, and is designed to raise awareness of SAAM, which is observed throughout April. To get involved, follow these steps: 1. Pick 10 people to represent your organization and name your team. 2. Enter the contest by e-mailing the name of your team, your organization and your team members' names to the 100 ARW/CVK organization box 100arw.cvk@mildenhall.af.mil 3. Report the number of steps or miles that your team completes from April 1 through 29 to the 100 ARW/CVK organization box and they will compile the totals. · What steps or miles can be counted? Any steps that you take or miles that you run, outside of your daily jobs such as: before and after work, if you walk to and from work, during PT, if you walk from your office to lunch; any extra work out times beyond PT. · How do we keep track of our steps/miles? We trust that everyone is truthful and can keep track of their own steps/miles for each day and at the end of each week submit those steps/miles to the org box. · When do we need to submit those steps/miles to the org box? You need to have one member of the team "your captain" gather the team's steps/miles and submit them each Friday, April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 to 100arw.cvk@mildenhall.af.mil. Make sure that your team name is on this e-mail. For more information, call DSN 238-2009 or 5723.
