New passport and consular fees

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The long-anticipated announcement of increasing passport and consular fees was released June 30.

The new fees, listed below, are due for any services provided on or after July 13
.
1. The total charge for a first-time passport book for an adult will increase to $135.
2. The total charge for an adult passport book renewal will increase to $110.
3. The total charge for a minor passport book (age 16 and under) will increase to $105.
4. The cost of adding visa pages to an existing passport book will now be $82. This service was previously free. Please note that frequent travelers can request a 52-page passport book at no additional cost when they renew, potentially saving them from the additional cost of visa pages at a later date.
