British and American families are invited to attend a special Fun Day at the Dome Leisure Centre in Mildenhall on July 24..

This will be the second time this event is being run by Anglia Community Leisure to welcome American service personnel to the area and bring U.K. and U.S. families together to enjoy local facilities and show them what Mildenhall can offer.

The fun will begin at 11 a.m. with activities including Rodeo Bull, Bouncy Castles, Softplay, Cheerleading, Line Dancing, Ipswich Town FC Soccer, Basketball, and Martial Arts, washed down with an American-style barbecue, ice cream and cotton candy (candy floss). The event will run until 4 p.m., and all activities are free of charge so that everyone can have as much fun as possible.

Tony Bass, chief executive of Anglia Community Leisure, sayid, "The Americans are known for their great hospitality and finger-lickin' barbecues, so now it's our turn to show them what we can do. Last year's event was a great big success, and we had a good mix of people meeting up and making new friends. This time round we're looking forward to strengthening those links and welcoming more American service personnel into our community."
