Spouses invited to 100th Air Refueling Wing Safety Stand Down event

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Spouses are welcomed at, and encouraged to attend, the Wing Stand Down event Friday. There will be games, activities, and prizes given away. Participating spouses will be eligible to win AAFES gift cards - among other prizes.

For military members, wear the uniform of the day and bring along your PT gear. On that note, encourage your spouse to either wear or bring along a running outfit so they can join us at the 3:30 p.m. run.

The AIr Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Norton Schwartz, identified this month as an opportunity to reemphasize the importance of the "Wingman Concept" among our Airmen, and to address a recent rise in Air Force suicides and motor vehicle mishaps.

This month also markes the launch of the Critical Days of Summer, a period when the Air Force typically experiences an increase in off-duty accidents.
