Thomas Trower 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Runners and walkers alike will set on the same path in the Race to End Sexual Violence at the Northside Fitness Center here April 24 at 9 a.m. As part of RAF Mildenhall's observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, the 5K run is the final public event, said Rebekah Downs, RAF Mildenhall Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. Victim advocates will be handing out car scent ribbons at base exit gates April 28. "The run has become kind of a tradition for the base," she said. "It really underscores the issues and supports prevention and awareness of sexual assault in our community." Prizes, such as gift cards, t-shirts and gift bags will be given to the top male and female runners, first walker, and first person with a stroller to cross the finish line. Free meal cards will be given to some children participating as well. The run is open to all ages and anyone with base access, said Ms. Downs.
