Time change: Civilian Personnel to Host NSPS to GS Conversion Town Hall Briefing

RAF MILDENHALL, England --  The second Town Hall meeting in the base theater at RAF Mildenhall April 20 has changed to 2:30 p.m.

The Department of Defense announced Feb. 18, the majority of NSPS employees are projected to transition to non-NSPS personnel systems by Sept. 30,  more than a year earlier than required by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal 2010.

Civilian Personnel will be conducting four separate Town Hall Briefings to cover this conversion as listed below:

RAF Mildenhall, April 20, at 9  a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Base Theater
RAF Lakenheath, April 21, a 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Strike Eagle Complex

The session is to address specific questions concerning the transition from NSPS to GS. Topics to be covered:

· Background
· Transition Schedules
· Classification
· Staffing
· Pay

Sessions are open to the installation population and they are expected to last about 90 minutes.
