The RAF Mildenhall Tax Assistance Program is readying to open its doors to assist the RAF Mildenhall community with its individual income taxes.

Trained volunteers will be available to assist members in completing and filing their returns electronically. Starting Feb. 1, the tax center, located upstairs in Building 424, will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.

Appointments are encouraged, especially for more complicated returns, but walk-ins are welcome. Contact Tech. Sgt Palaruan at 01638 54 2028 (DSN 238-2028) or moses.palaruan@mildenhall.af.mil to enquire about appointments.

Taxpayers will need to bring their tax information such as W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, Social Security cards or ITIN letters for you and all persons on your tax return and proof of identity (such as drivers license or other picture ID).

Members should note that if they have returns involving significant buying or selling of stocks/bonds, or other high value transactions, they should seek out a tax professional specializing in those areas of expertise.
