Airmen could be tasked to take written test during ORI Published Sept. 30, 2009 By Staff Sgt. Austin M. May 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- During the 100th Air Refueling Wing's Operational Readiness Inspection, which begins Oct. 5, any qualified Airman with a rank of O-5 or lower could be required to take a written test on information from the Airman's Manual. This is in addition to the standard inspection areas, such as weapons proficiency, Self Aid and Buddy Care and Ability to Train, Survive and Operate procedures, according to Capt. Javin Peterson, 100th ARW Inspections and Readiness. A master question file has been prepared to assist Airmen with studying for the test, and is available through unit commanders and first sergeants, Captain Peterson said. The MQF has more than 100 questions, any of which can be used on the written exam. "This is a good practice tool to make sure you're ready in case you have to take the test," the captain said. The test could have up to 30 questions, he added. "Since we have the questions and answers available beforehand the standard is 100 percent correct for all testing members," Captain Peterson stated in an e-mail. He added Airmen tasked to take the written test should be able to have their Airman's Manual with them to assist, but said Airmen should still prepare ahead of time. "I am giving you the test and the correct answers ahead of time..." the captain said. "I can't stress this enough: study the MQF. It's only 114 questions and only takes a few minutes to review." Those individuals assigned to non-100th ARW units will not be expected to participate, Captain Peterson said.
