The deadline for quarterly scholarship applications to the Mildenhall Team 5/6 has been extended to Aug. 10 for consideration in the third quarter disbursement.

"The $75 scholarship is provided by Team 5/6 for the pursuit of higher education," said Tech. Sgt. David Stollings, Team 5/6 scholarship representative. "It's available to Senior Airmen and below, whether they get their books for free or not. This is to help defray any and all costs associated with pursuing their degree."

Application packages should include:
- A 250 word essay titled "What it means to me to be a leader in today's Air Force"
- A copy of tuition assistance documents

Applications may be submitted quarterly to Sergeant Stollings and Tech. Sgt. Amy Underwood, Team 5/6 president, no later than Feb. 1, May 1, Aug. 1 and Nov. 1 of each year.

The scholarship winner will receive an award certificate to accompany the monetary award. Preferably, this will be awarded at the winner's unit at a future commander's call.
