Top Chef
Airman 1st Class Kiara Matthews, 100th Force Support Squadron, places orange slices on her chicken in the final minutes of the Top Chef Challenge at the dining facility June 17, 2009, at RAF Mildenhall, England. Six teams had 90 minutes to prep, cook, and serve a full course meal to four judges who would determine a winner based on taste, texture and presentation. The menu dinner picked was chosen from an Air Force recipe, but allowed each chef to use their own creative talents for each dish. The winner won a trip to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to compete against other base winners throughout United States Air Force Europe. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jerry Fleshman)
