As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, some Airmen here will be required to attend one of two presentations focusing on date rape April 13.

Catharsis Productions' "Sex Signals" is a humorous two-person play that uses comedy and audience interaction to deliver a serious message to young people, according to the company's Web site.

The show, which will be presented at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the base theater, is mandatory for all Airmen 1st Class and below, and fulfills their annual Sexual Assault Awareness training requirement. According to Precious Wallace, 100th Air Refueling Wing assistant Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, anyone can attend the presentation, but seating is limited and available only on a first-come, first-serv basis.

According to the program's Web site, presentations are tailored to military audiences when they are conducted on bases, and are specialized for each individual branch of service. The presentation is unique in that it transcends traditional sexual assault prevention programs by using a comical approach to the subject matter.

"Although the message is serious, the show uses humor, engaging the audience and candid discussion about their beliefs and experiences," Ms. Wallace said.
