Ely Cathedral holds Thanksgiving Eve service

RAF MILDENHALL, England --  The annual RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath Thanksgiving Eve service is Nov. 26 at Ely Cathedral. 

This year's speaker is Chaplain (Col.) Scott R. Gardner, U.S. Air Forces in Europe command chaplain. The evening will begin with pre-service music at 7 p.m., with Sounds of Liberty, and Meghann Fletcher. The service starts at 7:30 p.m. 

At the end of the service there will be a pie social. Anyone wishing to donate a pie for this should drop it off before noon Nov. 26 at either RAF Mildenhall or RAF Lakenheath Chapels. 

Buses will run to Ely Cathedral from both chapels, leaving base at 5:45 p.m. Seats are on a space available, first-come-first served basis. 

Children under-18 cannot ride the bus as there are no seatbelts.
