The 2008 Combined Federal Campaign has reached its halfway mark, and Team Mildenhall has already achieved 100 percent contact to all eligible personnel and raised more than $76,000.

The face-to-face contact has only resulted in a 12-percent participation rate so far, falling short of the 35-perecnt participation goal expected this year.

"The current financial crisis has a lot of people second guessing their decision to contribute," said 1st Lt. Christina Flynn, 100th Air Refueling Wing Protocol and CFC project officer. "There have also been a lot of deployments. It's still important to donate though, especially to youth programs which come directly back to the base."

As an incentive, CFC contributors are automatically entered into a raffle that concludes at the end of the campaign. First Prize is a 2009 Ford Focus, Second Prize is a $5,000 savings bond, and Third Prize is a $1,000 savings bond.

Each unit on RAF Mildenhall has an appointed CFC representative who is responsible for contacting personnel and coordinating contributions. The campaign continues until Dec. 3, and federal employees may continue to donate in a variety of ways until the end.
Contributions may be in the form of cash, check, credit card or payroll deduction.

Alternatively, donations can be set up online at www.cfcoverseas.org. Payments can be a one-time occurrence or arranged as a monthly allotment.
