RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Entitled drivers must obtain a Driving/Fuel Permit to replace the blue fuel card by Nov. 1 or be unable to purchase tax-free fuel. Pass and registration is open daily from 1 to 4 p.m. until Oct. 24 for those people seeking the DFP. From Oct. 27 to Nov. 7, customers must report to the Bob Hope Community Center. Entitled drivers will need a current V5 (vehicle registration certificate), USAFE driving permit, and blue fuel card. For vehicles that have never been registered on base, a current MOT or SVA certificate and valid insurance documents are also required. Only two vehicles are allowed per DFP, and motorcycles do not count against the limit. However, motorcyclists must have a current Mototcycle Safety Foundation certification as well a motorcycle endorsement on their U.S. drivers licenses.
