Col. Eden J. Murrie, Commander of the 100th Air Refueling Wing, unveiled the Square D emblem July 9 to be displayed above the entrance of Building 239, the new wing headquarters.

From the skies over Germany in World War II to the skies over Suffolk, England today, the Square D (or Box D as it is sometimes called) represents the history and heritage of the 100th ARW.

"It is a symbol of our proud heritage, and it will help people find the wing headquarters and the other units located here," she said.

Shortly after the unveiling, a crane crew from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron led by Tech. Sgt. Jammey Tipper-Booth began setting up the "cherry-picker" and the metal sign to be placed above the entrance of Building 239. Airman 1st Class Andrew Rossman and Airman Scott Ricketts tightened the final bolts to the brickwork - proud to be a part of the wing's history.
