Retiree Appreciation Day schedule of events announced

RAF MILDENHALL, England --  Retiree Appreciation Day is scheduled for May 14 and 15 at the Galaxy Club at RAF Mildenhall.

Those wishing to attend are requested to RSVP by May 1; knowing the correct numbers helps in many ways, most especially to order the correct amount of food.

Those needing quarters should request them through the master sergeant they are making their booking with. Those wishing to attend whose vehicles are not registered on a U.K. base should make the vehicle type and registration number known when booking.

Below is a schedule of events.

May 14 -- Ice Breaker Wednesday at the Galaxy club from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Thursday, May 15, planned schedule of events:

8:30 a.m. - Meet at Fire Department for coffee, be in place by 8:50 (bus will be available to transport those staying in Quarters to the fire station) 

9 to 9:20 a.m. - Greeting and update of the 100th Air Refueling Wing mission by the wing commander.

9:20 to 10:45 a.m. - Tour of the air traffic control tower and tower simulator, based on mission requirements of the day the following aircraft will be on display, HH-60, KC-135, F15, C-130 and a Security Police working dog demonstration. 

10:50 a.m.  - Bus to Galaxy club

11 to 11:45a.m. -- Opening ceremonies.

11:45 a.m. to 12:30p.m. -- Lunch.

12:30 to 1 p.m. - Guest Speaker (V. A. Representative) and closing remarks. 

1 p.m. -- Raffle, Information tables will be available 

Bus to fire station to collect cars will depart every 45 minuets after closing remarks.
