Despite pouring rain from late afternoon to evening July 4, members of the local community, both British and American, flocked to RAF Feltwell for the Independence Day celebrations.

In addition to carnival rides, there were amusements, children's games, pony rides, a variety of American food, and a car show. There was also a DJ in the evening.

Members from RAFs Mildenhall, Lakenheath and Feltwell volunteered their services, as parking attendants, cooking on barbecues and much more.

The evening's entertainment finished with a fireworks display.
