Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
It's a sense of pride to serve my country.  I am also following a long line of family members who served in the military.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of when I got accepted to become an aircraft maintenance instructor and was selected as the 2014 100th Maintenance Group Instructor of the Year.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My goals are to finish my bachelor's degree in psychology, buy a house and retire from the military.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Preparing the future aircraft maintainers of the Air Force and teaching the students all the knowledge needed to work on aircraft.

How does the individual portray that core value?
"Tech. Sgt. Olivas is passionate about training and mentoring newly assigned technical school graduates," said Master Sgt. Marlon Jackson, 100th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintenance training superintendent. "He deliberately develops his students by indoctrinating them into KC-135 Stratotanker maintenance operations to ensure they are given the skillset to perform at a high level."
