Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important to me because of the all the opportunities and skills it provides. While serving I have been given the opportunity to work with people from all over the world which gives you a different perspective on how to do things. I have also had the opportunity to learn what it's like to be a supervisor and learn what it takes to become a leader. The Air Force provides all these opportunities and life experiences that I believe are not easy to come by in the civilian sector.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
The accomplishment I am most proud of is my deployment to Afghanistan. I was part of a provincial reconstruction team which our mission was to help rebuild the area. While there my team helped resupply hospitals, train local nationals on security, medical, etc. and helped local communities with whatever they needed. It was an amazing experience.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My goals are to finish my degree in Aviation Science and to become a pilot.

What is your favorite part of your job?
The best part about my job is being able to travel all over Europe and work with so many different nations.  It has been a rewarding experience to see so many different countries and cultures. With my current duty position, I am afforded the opportunity to train with aircrews of multiple airframes and fly around the world. This ties into my personal goal which is a career in aviation.

How does the individual portray the core value?
"Staff Sgt. Henderson is the standard for 'Excellence in All We Do,'" said Tech Sgt. Ricky Purdy 352nd Operations Support Squadron Fly-Away Security team member from Hawaii. "With any task he is given, he executes it to his full capacity and constantly exceeds the standards laid out. He's in charge of the 352nd Special Operation Support Squadron weapons and ammunition account, which supports deployments across U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Central Command areas of responsibility. His excellence and dedication led to the 352nd Special Operation Group Weapon Safety Award, Second Quarter 2014.
