The 100th Force Support Squadron is offering a spouses immersion tour for spouses both new and familiar to the base in order to get a better understanding of the Team Mildenhall mission.

The tour visits various organizations and provides a brief overview of each facility and the services they provide.

"The tours are designed for any spouse who wants to learn what activities we have for individuals looking for something to do when they arrive," said Violet Brantley, 100th FSS deputy director from Pass Christian, Mississippi.

The tour also provides spouses a chance to see facilities they may not often have a reason to visit.

"We have spouses who don't visit the child development center or youth center because they have no children in those age brackets," Brantley said. "However, taking the tour gives them the opportunity to visit these facilities and see what great programs we have. This allows them to be an information source when they help newcomers to the base."

The tour includes a visit to the Airman and Family Readiness Center, CDC and youth center, Northside Fitness Center, Outdoor Recreation, Bob Hope Community Center and the Information, Ticket and Travel office.

In addition to the information gathered through the briefings, spouses will also receive additional information on other programs and services the base has available.

The next tour is scheduled to run Jan. 16, 2015.
