The Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas has been extended to Nov. 21, 2014 in hopes to raise more funds.

"It's time to open our hearts for a great cause and help Team Mildenhall raise more than $38,000 to help reach our wing goal," said Senior Master Sgt. Laquanese Townsend, 100th Maintenance Group operations superintendent from Birmingham, Alabama.

Last year, Team Mildenhall raised more than $147,500 and this year, the goal of $160,000 has almost been met as the base heads into the 11th week of donations.

The CFC itself is not a charity, but a fundraiser, that is a convenient way for active duty military and government civilians to donate to their favorite charities. The program has more than 2,600 charity genres to include youth programs, medical research and even animal rescues.

Volunteers strive to ensure the donation process is simple and versatile. Donors are able to make a one-time payment with cash or check, or have a direct deposit set up through their MyPay account in ongoing increments.

To make a donation, or for more information, talk to your unit CFC representative. You can also visit http://www.cfctoday.org to donate and find out about the different charities available.
