The Gateway Dining Facility hosted the Airmen Appreciation Meal Aug. 7, 2014 on RAF Mildenhall, England.

The quarterly event was open to all active-duty service members, reservists, National Guardsmen, retirees, military spouses and civilians with a valid Department of Defense ID Card.

"There are some really hard-working Airmen here at Mildenhall," said U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Javier Romero, 100th Force Support Squadron dining facility assistant manager from Puebla, Mexico. "We just try to show them that we appreciate all they do."

The menu featured a choice of lobster tail, chicken parmesan, strip loin steak, baked potatoes and a variety of side dishes.

For Airman 1st Class James Brewer, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron protective equipment journeyman from Shawnee, Oklahoma, the dinner was a token that he is appreciated.

"The meal was a morale boost for me," said Brewer. "It's a nice reminder that everyone in the Air Force takes care of each other."
