Team Mildenhall honors past Published June 3, 2014 By Staff Reports 100th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs RAF MILDENHALL, England -- The 100th Bombardment Group first stood up more than 70 years ago, June 1, 1942. To honor and remember the 100th BG the 100th Air Refueling Wing historian office is scheduled to host various events on Heritage Day, June 6, 2014. Scheduled events are as follows: Beginning at 9 a.m. opening remarks and a historical brief are scheduled to take place in the Galaxy Club Ballroom. This will be followed by a viewing of the 100th BG narrative documentary, "Anecdotes from 100th BG Airmen." After the viewing, a 10-minute brief from the 100th ARW historian on the 100th BG is scheduled to take place at Middleton Hall. The brief will be followed by a viewing of the 100th BG documentary. After the documentary at 11:30 a.m., a 10-minute brief on the 100th BG history will be offered at Middleton Hall. This will be followed by a viewing of the U.S. Army Air Force 100th BG documentary film made during World War II. Beginning at 1 p.m. the 100th ARW historian will give a brief on the 100th BG at the Rosie Rosenthal conference room. This will be followed by the "The Munster Mission" anecdote.
